Sonia Sekhon, Principal Lawyer
Sonia Sekhon is the principal lawyer at The Legal Café. Sonia was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario and completed her Bachelor of Laws degree with Honours at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), in Brisbane, Australia.
During her time in Australia, Sonia gained valuable international legal experience working for law firms in Brisbane and the Queensland Department of Justice and the Attorney-General.
To expand her interest in the immigration space, Sonia also obtained an Immigration Consultants Diploma with Honours in 2019 and has also obtained a secondary licence issued by the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory (ICCRC). Prior to launching her own practice, Sonia was a team leader at a law firm based in North York, Ontario leading a business immigration team and the judicial review team that were based out of both Toronto, Ontario and Vancouver, British Columbia.
Sonia has gained exposure to several areas of law including Criminal Law, Immigration Law, Personal Injury Law, Administrative Law and Civil Litigation. However, her passion and drive to help others create life changing opportunities led her to centralize her practice to Canadian Immigration law.
